Sometimes the bones of an awning are perfectly fine - it's just the fabric that's given up. That's exactly what we were working with at this Sebring home. The existing frames were solid, but the old covers had run their course. Rather than a full replacement, an awning recover was the right call here.
We went with a rich forest green fabric across all three awnings - one over the door and two covering the front windows. The color ties directly into the home's green shutters, so everything reads as intentional rather than thrown together. That kind of coordination is what takes a house from ordinary to polished.
The scalloped edge detail on each awning is a classic touch that works really well on a home like this. It adds character without being overdone. When the fabric is fresh and the fit is clean, those small design details actually get to shine. Old, sagging fabric just hides them.
Awning fabric replacement is one of those updates that punches well above its weight. You're not touching the structure, not doing a full removal and reinstall - you're simply giving the exterior a clean, finished look with new material stretched over the existing frame. It's efficient work with a noticeable result.
