Lifting a boat sounds simple enough until you realize the load is off-balance and a generic setup just won't cut it. That's exactly the kind of problem that calls for custom fabrication. Off-the-shelf hardware isn't always built for your specific boat, your specific lift points, or your specific rigging setup.

We built this custom aluminum spreader bar from scratch to solve that problem. The goal was to give the customer a way to lift their small boat safely, with the load distributed properly so nothing shifts mid-lift. Getting the lift points right isn't just about convenience - it's about protecting the hull and keeping everyone around the lift safe.

The bar itself is fabricated from aluminum, which keeps the weight down without sacrificing strength. You've got welded attachment tabs at each end for the rigging connections, and a centered lift point machined clean through the bar for the main hook. There's also a diagonal gusset welded in to add rigidity right where the load stress is greatest. Everything is built with a purpose - nothing extra, nothing missing.

This is the kind of work that's hard to find. Most shops don't want to deal with one-off custom pieces because they take real problem-solving and precise fabrication. We actually enjoy that challenge. If you've got a unique setup and need something built to match it exactly, that's where our aluminum fabrication and welding work really earns its keep.

Every custom job starts with a conversation. Tell us what you're working with, what the challenge is, and what you need the finished piece to do. We'll take it from there.
